About Us

Fort Elliott Consolidated Independent School District is comprised of three communities that come together to form one school district.  The Mobeetie Hornets, the Briscoe Broncos and the Allison Antelopes are now known as the Fort Elliott Cougars.  There are approximately 155 students in a geographical area that spans roughly 500 square miles in the Texas Panhandle.  Classes now average about 12 students per grade.  The secondary students can participate in FFA, basketball, six-man football, volleyball, track, tennis, golf, choir, one-act plays and academic contests offered through the University Interscholastic League.

The economic mainstays in the eastern Texas Panhandle include farming, ranching, and the exploration and production of natural gas and oil.
